Astronomers have discovered an unusual gravitational lensing configuration, dubbed ‘Hamilton’s Object,’ consisting of two images of a clumpy spiral background galaxy in a fold configuration and a third resolved image of the same spiral galaxy, which together create a tangential cusp configuration.
