This Hubble image shows Messier 99, a spiral galaxy some 42 million light-years away in the constellation of Coma Berenices. The Hubble data was taken with the Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3). The color composite was assembled from images taken in ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared light. It is based on data obtained through five filters.
